Describe your genre of sound ?
A: I call it Proverbial Pop. It’s very conceptual and a lot of the songs have double meanings. Although it sounds contemporary, if you analyse it, it’s also very alternative. So we just soundbite that and call it “Proverbial Pop or PP” It’s very, very cool.

The artist known as TQ was born Terrance Quaites in Mobile, Alabama. Shortly thereafter, TQ’s family moved to Compton, California, the birthplace of N.W.A. and other rap legends. TQ was raised in the church (he sang in the choir) but his real education came from the streets, where the first wave of hip-hop music became the soundtrack to his life. “From Monday to Saturday I was hangin’, partyin’, chasing girls, getting in trouble, and straight-up acting the fool,” he admits. “But on Sunday my mother dragged me out of bed to go to church. That’s where I developed my singing voice and learned how to make people feel me.”
Artist/Songwriter Stefan Eliades, “Lyrical Eye” started performing live at the age of 16 in different venues around Cyprus. It wasn’t until his first move to the United Kingdom, when things started to look more serious.
After tons of performances in the U.K and his home country Cyprus, the artist dropped his first commercial club track “Bounce”. Immediately the track started getting radio play on UK stations such as Extreme Fm and Mix Fm (Cyprus) with the legendary Dj Net (Rest in Peace). (more…)
In 2004 former Battle-Axe recording artist Mr. Brady along with Johaz, Brea and DJ Artistic came together to form the group Deep Rooted. The group was formed with a bigger perspective in mind – Originality and Making good music for the world to feel.
Deep Rooted have performed with acts such as The Roots, Common, Lupe Fiasco, KRS-One, Wu-Tang Clan, Kurtis Blow, The Boot Camp Click, The Liks and more. (more…)
